Punit Shah is the founder and Managing Partner of SPMCA (erstwhile proprietorship firm Punit Shah & Associates) which was established in 2010. He has over 15+ years of experience focused in Indian Indirect taxes, focusing on Goods and Service Tax (GST), Service Tax, Excise, Customs, VAT laws and Foreign Trade Policy. Punit has worked on Direct & Indirect Tax Advisory, Due Diligence, Compliance and Litigation for multi-national companies (MNCs), large corporates, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Owner Managed Businesses, Not for profit organisations, etc, and also has hands on experience of Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, and other Tax & Regulatory matters. Prior to founding the firm, Punit has worked with Ernst & Young, and A R Krishnan & Co, Chartered Accountants – Leading Indirect Tax Consultant.

Maulin Shah is a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) of India since May 2010. Maulin has over 12+ years of experience in Audit and Taxation, and has joined the firm in March 2017. Maulin has worked on Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, Limited Reviews, Certification, ICFR of Companies in financial services sector i.e. Banking, Housing Finance, Leasing, Trusteeship, NBFCs and of Companies in manufacturing sector, etc, and also has hands on experience of Internal Audit, and Direct Tax Compliance & Litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, Maulin has worked with Ernst & Young, India and US offices.
